About Sue

Hello.  I'm Sue.

I’m originally from the UK and now live in Calgary with my husband, our son, and our rescue dog, Chewie, who believes every visitor has arrived specifically to see him.
I’ve always been fascinated by people.
How two people can experience the same situation completely differently.  And how life has a habit of taking us somewhere we never expected to go.

Life Has a Funny Way of Changing The Plan

Life has changed the landscape more than once.
Across countries.
Across careers.
Across the many versions of myself that have appeared and disappeared over the years.

Like most women, life hasn’t unfolded exactly as planned.
There have been exciting chapters.
Hard chapters.
Unexpected chapters.
And a few where I genuinely wondered what on earth I was supposed to do next.

Why I Do This Work

Those experiences taught me something important.  Most people don’t need fixing.
They need space.  Space to think.  Space to breathe.  Space to hear themselves.
That’s what led me into hypnotherapy and personal development work.

Not because I was interested in hypnosis.

Because I was interested in people.
What drives them. What drains them.  Why some seem to thrive through change while others feel trapped by it.  And why so many capable, intelligent women spend years carrying far more than anyone realises.

 Life, outside the work

When I’m not working you’ll usually find me travelling, drinking coffee that’s far too strong, planning my next trip back to the UK, or getting distracted by a conversation that suddenly becomes much more interesting than where it started.

I still don’t pretend to have life all figured out.
In fact, the older I get, the more suspicious I become of people who claim they do.

But I do know this:

Life doesn’t have to feel as heavy as many of us have come to accept.
And sometimes a conversation is where that realisation begins.
